When you sign up for an event, download a paper, or sign up for our mailing list we collect:
your email address
your first and last name
basic campaign context (such as which form or content led you here)
That’s it—no hidden tracking or profiling.
We use your information to:
deliver papers and other downloads you’ve requested
send invites and information related to the event
send updates about related events and content based on legitimate interest — meaning we believe they're relevant to you based on your previous interaction with us or our assessment that our work is relevant to your role
send updates about new events and sandpapers based on your consent—meaning you've signed up for our mailing list
Your data lives safely in Mailcoach, a GDPR-compliant service hosted within the EU. We may also store temporary exports in Google Workspace for internal communication and administration.
Access is limited to Friktion’s communications team and our trusted technical partners. We apply reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your data.
We keep your data as long as we have reason to believe you want to remain on our mailing list. You can opt out at any time. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we’ll remove it from our systems.
We use Plausible Analytics to understand how our website is used. Plausible doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t collect personal data.
